The largest of the facilities is located in Southwest Louisiana and is known as the Lake Charles Chemical Complex (LCCC) due to its proximity to the City of Lake Charles. Major growth opportunities are currently being studied for the LCCC, which could result in hundreds of new positions within the company and thousands of contract positions for the construction phase. While the majority of these positions will be located in Louisiana, support positions are also expected to be available in the Houston offices.
The complex in Southwest Louisiana is a major contributor to the economy with an annual impact on the local community of over $160 million. Each year, Sasol North America donates over $150 thousand to local non-profit organizations such as McNeese State University, United Way, the Nature Conservancy, the American Cancer Society, Rebuilding Together, Partners in Education and many more organizations.
Research & Development (R&D) resources are located in Southwest Louisiana. The R&D scientists and technicians play a major role in supporting customers for the entire product portfolio. These scientists provide prompt technical assistance and the innovative development of new applications and products. The 35+ R&D staff members also provide technical assistance to operations and engineering employees in an ongoing effort to increase productivity and efficiency in the manufacturing units.
In addition to growth opportunities along the Gulf Coast, Sasol is also studying opportunities for growth in Canada, where the company has recently purchased ownership in large natural gas deposits.
Sasol is investing in North America and those investments result in great careers for people with the right education or certifications and experience. Consider a career with Sasol North America.
